Towbar Adapters (for “Van-Racks”)

Description

• Allows Van-Racks to swap from caravan to car.
• Tilt option available for 1and 2 bike model to allow access into rear door (even side-hinged, Prado type rear doors)
• Fits 50mm (2″) square hitch towbar receivers only.

They’re all steel, heavy duty, zinc plated and fully adjustable… and with one of these you’re not restricted to only starting your bike ride from wherever your camp happens to be set up. Now you can leave your van at your camp site, swap your bikes over onto your car and be off to start your ride wherever your fancy takes you.

2/     Depending on your which model Van-Rack you have it could have 1 or 2 “main carrier arms” (see green arrows below).

3/     Loosen off the two anti-rattle bolts (see green arrow below) and pull out the quick-release pin.

4/     The “main carrier arm” (or two arms if it’s a 3 or 4-bike carrier) slips right off the Van-Rack leaving you with this.

5/    Slip the “main carrier arm” (or arms) onto the adapter, insert quick-release pin and tighten the anti-rattle bolts (see point 3 above) and your Van-Rack is now fitted to your car and ready to go.

*  While you do get to transfer your 2-bike, 3-bike or 4-bike rack from your caravan onto your car, the actual tilting mechanism itself (if you have a tilting Van-Rack) stays mounted on your van and does not transfer over onto your vehicle. Van-Racks can not tilt when fitted to a car’s towbar.

1. Accidental Damage – If you run over one of our products with a truck (in other words “accidental damage” where the breakage is your fault) then you’re up for the repair/replacement cost. Similarly, if your product isn’t setup, used or maintained properly then any resultant damage is on you.
2. Wear and tear is not covered by warranty (because things like painted/plated finishes, moving parts and rubbers etc have to wear out eventually), but if our product breaks because of faulty workmanship or materials (in other words the breakage is our fault) all you’ve got to do is return it along with details of what happened and if it really was our fault it gets fixed or replaced free of charge.
3. ‘Bike Racks for Caravans and Campers’  (both front & rear mounted) must be fitted per the relevant Fitting Guides on our website. If not then there’s no warranty.

Simple really, just the way a guarantee should be… but hardly ever is!

PLEASE NOTE 1: Custom made (non-standard) “mounting systems” (for caravans, campers and trailers etc) are covered by a 2 year warranty.

PLEASE NOTE 2: We do not accept returns just because someone changes their mind. Our products do exactly what we say they do, they will fit where we say they’ll fit and sorry, but a change of mind is not a valid reason for a refund.
